International Shipping Policy: EU Orders & Customs Notice

1. Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) Terms All orders shipped from Clique Kara (UK) to destinations within the European Union (EU) are dispatched on a Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis.

When placing an order for delivery to the EU, UK VAT will be removed at checkout. However, your order will be subject to local import VAT, customs duties, and courier clearing fees levied by the destination country once the shipment arrives at your border.

  • VAT & Duties: You are liable to pay your country’s standard VAT rate on the total order value. For orders exceeding €150 (£135), additional customs duties may be applied by your local customs authority.

  • Courier Administrative Fees: The courier handling your delivery (including but not limited to Evri, DPD, Royal Mail, or FedEx) will charge an administration/disbursement fee to process the customs clearance on your behalf.

All import taxes, duties, and clearing fees are the sole responsibility of the customer and must be paid to the courier prior to delivery. Clique Kara has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount.

2. Refusal of Customs Charges & Abandoned Parcels If you refuse to pay the incoming customs duties and taxes required by your local courier, the parcel will either be returned to Clique Kara or abandoned by the border authorities.

In the event of a refused delivery:

  • Any return shipping fees, admin charges, or penalty fees levied on Clique Kara by the courier will be strictly deducted from your final product refund.

  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

  • If the courier abandons the parcel due to non-payment of customs fees, no refund can be issued.

3. EU Returns & Refund Liability In accordance with EU Consumer Contracts Regulations, EU customers have the right to return items within 14 days of receipt. However, under Clique Kara’s commercial terms:

  • Return Shipping Costs: The customer is fully responsible for sourcing and paying for a tracked international shipping service to return the goods to our UK warehouse.

  • Deduction of Original Shipping: Upon receipt and inspection of the returned items in their original, unworn condition with tags attached, a refund for the product value will be issued. The original shipping rate paid at checkout will be deducted from the final refund amount.

  • Recovering Duties: Clique Kara cannot refund local EU VAT or customs duties paid at the border upon import. To reclaim these costs on returned items, you must contact your local customs authority directly with proof of return.
